Copperplate calligraphy with Maria Montes:
Knowing the history of the Latin alphabet, and learning the practical knowledge of calligraphy will give you great tools to understand our Latin letterforms.

Typography is one of the main tools for designers to communicate. The more you understand this tool, the better designer you will become.

Who should attend?
This workshop is for beginners and seasoned letterers who are looking to refine their skills.

Graphic designers with an interest in typography will take the most out of this course!

What can people expect to learn over the workshop?
You will learn the difference between calligraphy, lettering and typography. You will learn that calligraphy directly reflects the movement of the hand.

Which tools will participants learn to master?
You will learn how to use a traditional pointed flexible pen. You will also experiment with modern tools such as Pentel Touch brushes.

Course objective:
The aim of this course is learning to see and increase typography knowledge.
